Introduction
You may have seen that I did not publish any new posts in the past weeks. But then, I was busy working on the site itself. Let me show you what I changed and what’s new, and make sure to let me know down below in the comments what you think of it.
Organization and Menu Bar
When changing a couple of things on your website, you obviously want to think about how your visitors will find their way around. And so with the changes you can read about below, I also adapted my main Menu and its structure.
First you find a new prominent item on the menubar called “Digital and Prints”. The other new menu item is called “Other” which is collecting a number of items in a sub-menu. New in there is “Miscellanious”, along with the previously existing items “About me” and “Contact”.
Prints for Sale and Free Digital Wallpapers
First things first: I created a completely new page which contains prints for sale and free digital wallpapers. I have no idea whether this is something which is of interest to you, but of course I have to start somewhere 🙂
In a recent blogpost I told the story of how I prepared, printed and framed one of my images. Of course I did not stop there, currently optimizing multiple of my images for a larger print. If you see an image you like, you want to improve your home or office with it: let me know and I will get that print for you.
The second part of the page contains all kinds of digital backgrounds – or wallpapers if you prefer that term.
The first set are mobile wallpapers with a 9:16 aspect ratio. I use these wallpapers on my own mobile phone, it’s just nice to look at something unique every day.
The second set is formatted for your desktop monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio. I use those as desktop wallpapers or in my online video calls as backgrounds. Again, you can set yourself apart by having a non-standard background.
Images from both sets are all completely free for your own use!
Miscellanious
The second new page is called Miscellanious and is a collection of various interesting and helpful stuff.
- First, whenever I’m invited to write a guest blogpost, I link to it here.
- Then, in an attempt to connect to the photography world somehow, I started compiling links to other interesting photography blogs. Maybe you find something interesting to you too.
- And last, but certainly not least, I compiled some of my learning resources. For now, it’s a compilation of youtube channels I follow. Some of them for inspiration, others to learn different post processing techniques.
Final Words
With these changes I feel an important part was added to twjst.photo. Let me know down in the comments section whether you feel the same!
