Helvetia Statue in Basel während einer Hochwasserperiode

This is a small piece I wrote for the Basel based blog of ralu.ch. It’s based on my own blogpost Ein Regentag in Basel. While shorter, it contains a summary of the post in video format, something you don’t have in the original. Please go and have a look!

Photography Blogs

Links to other Photography Blogs

Here a compilation of mainly swiss photography blogs I like. If you happen to know a good one that should be featured drop me a message via the contact page.

A group of street photographers with the mission to help establish street photography as an art form in Switzerland. Many interesting blogposts, some in German, some in English.

Blogposts around photography, not so much the craft itself, but rather topics around it. While lthe homepage can be viewed in English and German, most of the recent blogposts are in English.

Andreas Lanz writes regularly about his photography adventures in German.

YouTube Channels

Everything Photoshop – you want to know how to do something in photoshop? Chances are high you’ll find a video about it on this channel. Very well structured and thoughtfully crafted learning lessons.

Master Landscape Photographer – love his images and his content. Very well explained and useful. Uses the TK7 luminosity mask panel in photoshop and has some content about it.

Canadian Photographer with shooting mainly the area around Vancouver Island, but also international. Beautiful and very skilled compositions, a joy to follow on his journey.

Scottish Landscape Photographer which definitely does not follow the crowd. Videos are not coming in very regular, butI love the “vision and light” episodes – very long and worth watching every minute!

English Landscape Photographer – so good and at the same time humble photographer. Very authentic videos around his photograhpy journey.

I’m not at all into fashion – or fashion photography for that matter. But her images are so mindbogglingly good, that I regularly check the very well made videos on her channel.

I use DaVinci Resolve to create videos containing my photographs. Nearly everything I do in there I learned from Mr. Alex Tech – great resource!
