What happened in Week 18 2020?
In this segment, I’ll show the images which I posted on this week on Instagram – along with some background information. Two images from a walk in the woods – the nearby “Allschwiler Wald” – and one image overlooking the “Senseoberland”, a region in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland where I grew up.

We took a walk through a nearby forest (“Allschwiler Wald”). I’m not very experienced shooting in woodland, but the light on these ivy leaves drew my attention. These images require a different approach to editing than my usual cityscapes, but all in all I think the result is not too shabby.

Very often, there is great beauty in little things. During one of our few walks we do these days, we came across this bush where the light was just shining through and hitting those leaves. I’m happy I can find joy in these little things – otherwise I would probably go crazy during these Corona-times.

Took my new Mavic Air to my parents’ house where I grew up and flew it high up and looked towards the alps. I spent my whole childhood in this area, but I have never seen it like this. Btw: some of the mountains farthest away are not visible from the ground. Maybe not the best composition, but meaningful to me for obvious reasons.
