In this segment, I’ll show the images which I posted on this week on Instagram – along with some background information. A like and a comment are greatly appreciated, if you like what you see consider following me @twj.st. This week is a bit different: You can expect two shots that were taken using a regular camera, both with a spring flower theme. And then there is one shot overlooking the Messe Basel at Sunset, uncovering a fiery hole.
Dirty Window
πΈ EOS R, LR only
π April 1st, 2020
During these Corona-times I spend most of my time at home – specifically in my office at home. Don’t get me wrong: I am in a luxurious position in that I am healthy and can work from home. But being stuck most of the time made me wonder what I could photographically do at home. A video on YouTube planted the idea into my brain, to choose a window in the house and document how the light changes during the day. Of course, I chose the dirties window you can imagine and here is one of the results.
Fiery Hole
πΈ DJI Mavic Air, LR only
π February 24th, 2020
I noticed that at the right time of day, the hole in the “Messe”-Building in Basel looks like a big fiery pit. Another thing you never notice when you stand on the ground. Get a drone and get to know your city from a whole different perspective! π
