Are you looking for an example of a sunset image from Gempen, Switzerland? Look no further, you have clearly found it!
The “Gempen” is the local “mountain” of the Basel area. It offers some beautiful views across the “Baselbiet” – the countryside surrounding Basel. In contrast to the alps, you are able to reach the place by car. The last bit is a very narrow street, but if you’re careful you can manage. On this cold winter evening we arrived there before sunset – scouting the place for a good composition. It was my first time there – but I got lucky that the sunset was framed perfectly by those trees.
