Landscape Photography Baselland

Composition by Drone

Get the composition You Want
Are you looking for an example of landscape photography from Baselland, Switzerland?
The rock formation in the center and the one we are standing on are called the small and big “Ankeballe”, a true swiss german expression if I ever heard one. It translates roughly to “clump of butter”, which supposedly is connected to a local saga. Its a beautiful spot, not known to too many. Getting up there is fine, although the paths are not well maintained. But we were walking up in the dark, and that’s a whole different story.
So I stand there on the egde of the cliff, understandibly my options to change composition were somewhat limited. Surely, it is said that as a photographer you have to move yourself to change the perspective, but in this case this would have meant certain death… So I took out my drone and flew it just a few meters away to get the composition I wanted.
